OUR STORY

Born out of wanting to reduce waste, and use less. not just as an individual, but as a community.

Love Haslemere Hate Waste hopes to INSPIRE and empower this change.

Started in 2019 by Victoria Page, Love Haslemere Hate Waste has become a movement for change in and around Haslemere.

If a town like Haslemere can reduce its waste, educate its community, and do it’s bit for the world as a whole, what’s stopping other towns, and even cities, following our lead?

MEET THE TEAM

Victoria (Tause)

Creator of Love Haslemere Hate Waste, Victoria is passionate about living sustainably and leaving the world in a better place. She’s a sustainability consultant by trade, and is often seen scouring the charity shops of Haslemere or running up to Blackdown.

Chris

One of our talented repairers, and helped Tause to kick start the Virtual Repair Café which launched in March 2020. He has a particular talent for restoring cherished items and family heirlooms — this red tractor pictured here — as well as old garden tools.

Sarah

Sarah’s early ambitions were to open a zero waste shop. Tause and Sarah got talking and combined their passion for waste free living to bring Love Haslemere Hate Waste to life.

Christy

Has been supporting the Repair Café since we launched in 2019, first as our Plastic Free Champion and now helping us to deliver the Repair Café.

Sarah

The brains behind Love Style Hate Waste.

Sarah is brimming with ideas about how to make fashion more sustainable. She’s always on the look out for rare clothing finds and is inspired in her outfit creations!

Jen

Jen is seriously talented, having taught herself to sew by watching YouTube videos during lockdown. She is always there, with a smile on her face, fixing clothing and making new creations like neck collars and bookmarks out of spare fabric.
