Power File & Sanding Belt Risk Assessment
Please bring a form of ID with you when you come to collect.
Always unplug the thing from the electric outlet after using it. Also before removing covers, cleaning, lubricating or when making any other servicing adjustments mentioned in the instruction manual.
Only use the power file with the correct fitting sanding sheets. We have supplied some for your use. Please restock them if you have used them.
Do not allow it to be used as a toy.
Use this power file only for its intended use.
Avoid accidents and injury when doing tasks by always operating within the range of your skills, ability, and experience.
Never operate this power file if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, if it has been dropped or damaged, or dropped into water. Return to the LoT for examination.
Ensure cables are firmly attached to avoid items slipping out and causing injury. Items may get hot and must not be directly touched after use.
Keep fingers away from all moving parts.
Never drop or insert any object into any opening.
Do not use outdoors.
Do not unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.
Do not use the machine if it is wet.
Only use item for their designed purpose.
Keep item away from children, and do not let other people use them. The item was lent to you, on the premise it is used only by you and is your responsibility.
Always make sure the item is stored and/or transported in a safe manner.
Never use the item under the influence of drugs or alcohol or any prescribed medication that impairs your functioning.
Instructions for customer
By completing the Rental Transaction you’re implying that you have read, understood and accepted the risks listed.
Therefore you understand the risks involved in using the Power File & Sanding Belt and will return it in as good condition as it was taken.
GOOD TO KNOW:
Item is electrical, do not use electrical items in the rain.
The Power File is only suitable for sanding wood – if you’re trying to use it for anything else, the sanding sheets will run out very quickly.
Please replenish the sanding sheets as you use them.
Recommend wearing snug fitting clothing, sturdy footwear, long trousers and safety glasses whilst operating – please note we are unable to provide any of these items.
